Hmm

While doing a part check on the new MG Rick Dias I came across this:

I've seen the SB plate or similar naked in the box before but this ain't those. What do you think dear readers should I be concerned, has this ever happened to you?

A Little Bit About White

Remember that earlier post about how anti-white I am, well there is an exception to every rule. This MG Quan[T] entitled "The Doctor" by modeler LOD is fabulous example of how white as a primary tone should be used.

Roughly 70% of this kit is white, however the remaining 30% is high contrast shades of red, black and grey. This is how you do a predominately white mobile suit. I really need to get a Quan[T].

Daisuke is the place!

Those of you interested in watching episode 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin can tune in to a paid simulcast at Daisuke.net. No word yet on streaming costs but those with overflowing wealth can pick up the Blu-Ray set for $94.99 and relive the magic again and again and again. Or you could just wait until a budget friendly version is released (my plan), your call.

Per the official site Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin is set to debut February 28th, 2015, details on the preorder can be found here.

Mk. III Custom Build

Love the color scheme on this custom paint job, those simple and straight forward the contrast of colors really adds to the overall quality of the build. The reds stand out like beacons against the softer grey and hard blacks, while the turquoise of the shoulder cannons and the yellow of the stabilizers further breaks up the grey body.

Big Things Poppin' - MG FA-010-A FAZZ!

Can't say the FAZZ (somehow pronounced "fats") has every piqued my interest, in fact it is on the very short list of MG kits I have no interest in. Or was until I saw this:

There was definitely some modification done to this kit but damned if I know the extent, based on the comparison image there seems to have been some lengthening of the legs among other mods. I haven't done so yet but modification is definitely on my to-do-list (along with scratch building).

ReBorn 100 the Third Pt. 2

That box I mentioned here has now arrived but the RE/100 Mk. III inside of it remains untouched. Why does this matter? Well you see, I intended to use the Mk. III to measure the value of investing in the Reborn One-Hundred line. However, given how things are going the Gundam GP04 (Gerbera) may hit shelves before I can get my eager man hands on the Mk. III.

Oh and here are some pictures I found on Gundam Guy which prompted my plamo rambling.

HG Transient Gundam

First images of the Gundam Transient, from Gundam Build Fighters Try,  in plastic model form. I loved the look of this suit in the anime but the model kit gets a definite, "meh" from this blogger. Perhaps it the dullness of contrasts that inspire my indifference, that does seem tot be the primary difference between the illustration and the model? What say you dear readers, are you moved to cheers, jeers or meh's?
